Our merchant mobile app was in dire need of an overhaul but historically we were spread too thin to address it. Thanks to a new hire and some reshuffling of priorities we were able to tackle the task with two fresh-faced designers. In late 2022 our new found heroes began an app audit and competitive analysis and then put forth some recommendations to bring the app into the 21st century. It began with a tab bar implementation featuring the most frequented sections and a more menu icon for access to the rest of the app features. In addition, a new and prominent nav bar with large titles for hierarchy was designed and built. As fast follows the team redesigned key sections of the app starting with the dashboard and campaigns tab. I functioned in an advisory role on the project providing feedback and guidance along the way.
